Aim & Scope

The Journal of Travel and Tourism Research (JTTR) is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published biannually by the Faculty of Tourism at Aydın Adnan Menderes University.

Aim

JTTR aims to advance scholarly knowledge in tourism and related interdisciplinary fields by publishing high-quality and original research. The journal seeks to promote both theoretical and applied insights, encourage methodological rigor, and contribute to sustainable development and innovation within tourism.

By supporting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives, JTTR provides an international platform for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge on the economic, social, cultural, environmental, technological, and managerial dimensions of tourism.

Scope

JTTR welcomes scholarly studies that examine tourism as a dynamic human activity and evaluate its positive and negative impacts from multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. The journal considers original research articles, conceptual and theoretical papers, literature reviews, systematic reviews, and research notes.

Editorial Scope

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. JTTR does not accept redundant publication, simultaneous submission, or inappropriate fragmentation of research findings. Manuscripts that fall within the journal’s scope are evaluated through a double-anonymized peer-review process involving at least two independent reviewers.

Publication frequency: Two issues per year, published in June and December.
