“Strengthening Families with Multiple Disadvantages: Research co-production on Family Resilience” is a project supported by TUBITAK with the number 122R058. The project is led by Assoc. Prof. Didem AYDOÄžAN from the Department of Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Faculty of Education, Aydın Adnan Menderes University. Economical difficulties trigger multiple social inequalities which affects family systems. Many helping professionals working with families need information on how to approach such inconveniences. The main focus of this study is to develo a family resilience model based on the research co-production approach for the families experiencing multiple disadvantages. Aligned with social justice approach, this study aims to develop cultural-sensitive, holistic model of family resilience that guides intervention and prevention strategies. Also, this study with a research co-production approach, will be carried out in Aydın province and it brings together the researchers, practitioners and target community with a systemic co-production process. During the course of the project, together with the academic research team, the practitioner community and family community will work in collaboration. Therefore, not only with its focus and content but also with the research co-production approach it proposes, the current study is considered to be an important innovation for resilience-based studies and practices in Turkey.
